Nagarkot 1-Day Tour


Nagarkot: The famous tourist destination is located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, approximately 1930m above sea level. It is one of the most scenic spots in near Kathmandu valley and is well-known for its spectacular sunrise, sunset, and panoramic view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. This popular hill station provides breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas, rolling hills, deep valleys, lush green forests, and picturesque Villages.


The oldest Changu Narayan Temple of Nepal is situated on a ridge overlooking the valley, about 12 km to the east of the Kathmandu city. It is dedicated to the Hindu God Bishnu. The temple now covers sixteen hundred years of Nepalese art and history. Changu Narayan Temple was built around the third century, and it is one of the finest and oldest specimens of pagoda architecture, the temple is embellished with exquisite wood and stone carvings, and it's said to be the oldest pagoda style temple in Nepal. 


This Nagarkot-Changu Narayan day tour begins early morning is depending on a season. We start the tour 4-5 am from Kathmandu. We drive to Nagarkot to enjoy the morning view, and we will have a hot breakfast and explore more in Nagarkot, than a short drive to Changu Narayan Temple.
